Unipolar manual reset current protectors – microswitches

Microswitches are designed to protect against overload and short circuit with manual reset after opening the contact.

In this type of microswitches a bimetallic module is used, which identifies the overload.

When the overload reaches the calibrated switching point of the bimetallic element, contact “opens”, it switches-off the load and make the button go out. This activates the visual shutdown indication. The circuit remains off until it is manually reset by pushing the botton.
